Monday, an Australian court told Google to pay A$715,000 ($515,000) to a former lawmaker. The court said that the man had to leave politics because Google didn’t delete “relentless, racist, vilification, abusive, and defamatory” YouTube videos.
Texas, Indiana, Washington State, and D.C. sued Google in January, arguing its location-tracking practices violate user privacy and are deceptive. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed an amended privacy lawsuit against Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Inc on Thursday.
