The United States Has Granted GSK’s Measles Preventive Vaccination Approval

British pharmaceutical giant GSK has received FDA approval for Priorix, a measles, mumps, and rubella vaccination that may be given to children aged one year and older.

Priorix, a vaccine developed by the British pharmaceutical company GSK, has been licensed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the prevention of measles, mumps, and rubella in individuals aged one year and older.

GSK Head of U.S. Vaccines Judy Stewart said, “We are pleased to make Priorix accessible in the United States for the first time, giving clinicians an additional option to help protect patients against these extremely dangerous illnesses.”
